Adsum Pays Homage to Elite Hikers With Merrell Collaboration
The first of three styles dropping in the coming months.
Fresh off the back of its recently-released Vermont-inspired capsule, Brooklyn-based menswear imprint Adsum returns this winter for a limited-edition footwear collaboration alongside outdoor label Merrell.
The Michigan-founded brand, who earlier this year linked up with Awake NY for a unique take on the Jungle Moc silhouette, brings its 1TRL Hut Moc to the drawing board this time around to be reimagined in collaboration with the Adsum team.
The silhouette’s usual quilt upper is replaced with sleek perforated suede, yet retains its unique collapsible heel section which allows it to be worn as either a slipper or a shoe. This all sits atop a soft leather footbed and an EVA outsole, with subtle Adsum branding on the collapsible heel rounding things out.
“We’ll be dropping three collab styles with Merrell over the coming months, all of which pay homage to the Adirondack Forty Sixers, an elite group of hikers,” explains Adsum co-founder Pete Macnee. “The first is the Hut Moc, the ideal piece of footwear to slip on after a long day of hiking – or for a quick run to the corner store on a lazy Sunday.”
