Regen Projects is showcasing a new solo exhibition by the acclaimed German photographer, Wolfgang Tillmans. “Concrete Column” is his eighth show with the Los Angeles gallery and presents a spectrum of work ranging portraiture and still life to architecture, landscape and more.

Hallmark to Tillmans oeuvre is the ability to distill the multiple viewpoints of our image-saturated culture into a subjective experience that captures the political, personal and aesthetic, all at once. Tillmans curiosity is boundless — from the process of pouring concrete and planetary crossings to the turbulence of seascapes and photochemical reactions — transient moments that the artist frames in a way to reawaken our eyes to the exquisite nature of daily life.

As a celebrated documentarian of music, Tillmans has also included a listening room to his first full-length album, Moon in Earthlight. During a time that all but ended live music, Tillmans focuses on the performative nature of music and how the medium is one of the preeminent forces in bringing people together. “Concrete Column” will be on view at Regen Projects until December 23.

Elsewhere, Adam Pendleton has unveiled his first solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.
