After a highly anticipated opening in Tokyo back in 2019, Nintendo is now preparing to open its second official store in Japan, this time moving to the city of Osaka, where it currently runs its Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios.

According to Sora News 24, the new store will be located in the heart of downtown Osaka in the Daimaru Umeda department store, right beside the main Osaka Station. Not only is the shopping mall convenient to reach for visitors, but it’s also home to the Pokémon Center megastore, making it a great day out for fans of the Japanese gaming giant and its franchises, especially if you’re on a trip to Japan for Super Nintendo World.

While not many other details have been announced yet by Nintendo, it has set an opening window for late 2022, by which hopefully borders and travel restrictions will have relaxed a little more for visitors from all across the globe. If you’re a fan of the company, definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
