Spalding’s Newest Basketball Hoop Can Be Assembled in Under 30 Minutes
You can even use AR to see what it will look like in your backyard before you buy.
Sporting goods company Spalding has released a new line of basketball hoops that can be completely assembled in under 30 minutes.
The Spalding Momentous EZ Assembly features either a 50-inch or 54-inch steel-framed acrylic board, 8-to-10-inch Infinite Adjust Elevator Lift System, a 36-gallon base for superior stability and an Arena Slam Breakaway Rim for expert gameplay. It also features a clear-view backboard — a first for portable basketball hoops — and offers an AR tour of what the hoop will look like in your backyard prior to purchase, available through the Spalding website.
“The basketball hoop assembly process needed to be easier and more enjoyable — that was made clear to us through analyzing reviews throughout the category and from focus groups of athletes, parents and coaches,” said Ben Simms, Spalding’s global marketing manager.
The innovative hoop system is available in various models, ranging in price from $349 USD to $599 USD. The hoops will be available starting today on Spalding.com, and later this month on Amazon, Academy Sports, Dunham’s Sporting Goods and Scheels Sporting Goods.
In other news, Spalding explained why it ceased its almost 40-year partnership with the NBA.
