New York-based label Rowing Blazers has debuted its Fall/Winter 2021 campaign, showcasing the sense of humour that is central to the brand’s identity. Celebrating this theme, the label has recruited Pete Davidson and Ziwe Fumudoh to front the collection’s campaign.

Speaking about the humorous influence on the collection and the campaign, founder Jack Carlson said, “I think sometimes people hear the word ‘classics’ and they think ‘stuffy.’ They hear ‘preppy’ and they think of something elitist and cringeworthy. These concepts have been hijacked and given a bad name. They’re supposed to be about bright colours and beautiful fabrics, but more importantly: having fun, being yourself, and flipping the bird to anyone who takes themselves too seriously.”

Continuing this influence, color is an important theme throughout the collection, with brightly-colored corduroy suits alongside the label’s gun check and patchwork tweed designs, as well as new jockey fleece colorways and rugby shirts in tie-dye and bright stripes. Elsewhere, Rowing Blazers recreates a series of ’80s-inspired knitwear in collaboration with Gyles & George, as well as linking up with heritage British knitwear brand Warm & Wonderful and teasing a second collaboration with the NBA.

Take a look through the campaign in the gallery above. The collection is available from the Rowing Blazers web store now.

In other fashion news, Casablanca has returned with its FW21 tailoring collection.
