Oasis ‘Supersonic’ Is an Upbeat Look at The Band’s Golden Years
Featuring rare interviews and images from Noel and Liam Gallagher.
Following the launch of Oasis Knebworth 1996 earlier this year, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher talk us through the highs and lows of being in one of the world’s biggest bands in a new book: Supersonic.
Released alongside Headline Publishing Group and written by Simon Halfon, Supersonic is a curation of first-hand experiences from the Gallagher brothers covering pivotal moments in the band’s history. From the day Noel joined Liam’s band, to landmark gigs at Knebworth Park, the book documents the story behind Oasis’ success, alongside exclusive and unseen imagery.
To celebrate the launch, adidas Originals hosted an Oasis Supersonic book event at the label’s Carnaby Street store. Famed Manchester music photographer Kevin Cummins was joined by friends of the band and adidas aficionados to view imagery and Oasis memorabilia around the store, before a carefully-selected set from DJ Art Chetcuti and 1/70 tote bags that included a collector’s edition of the book, special edition dust jacket and poster with a record sleeve cover was gifted.
Images from the event can be seen above, while Supersonic itself can be purchased via the Headline webstore here.
