Nike Revives the Air Flight Lite Mid in for Its 30th Anniversary
Made known by Chris Mullin and Scottie Pippen in the 1992 Olympics.
As Nike celebrates a bundle of anniversaries with new releases and returns of highly-coveted designs, the sportswear giant is reviving the Air Flight Lite Mid in honor of the silhouette’s 30th anniversary. Known for the association with Chris Mullin and Scottie Pippen, as the duo laced up in the classic white and black colorway during the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, the shoe sat in a lineup stacked with the likes of the Air Jordan 7, Air Force 180 and Air Ballistic Force.
Making a comeback in a new decade, the design is constructed with clean white leather uppers featuring details in stark black hitting the main lateral Swooshes, tongue and partial outsole. A graphic interior lining peeps out from the ankle collar while the insoles are decorated in purple and orange. Perforations run throughout the uppers for added breathability and the heel branding is stitched in purple to complete the look.
Look out for another round of the Air Flight Mid “White/Black” to release soon at select retailers and Nike’s website for $110 USD.
