The promotional visual sees the Mark Twain Prize winner driving his truck down a rural road as Morgan Freeman delivers an intuitive narration. “Five specials in this many years, how do you close a body of work that profound? I couldn’t imagine the enormity of the pressure. And then, he looks as if he’s about to say something… What could he possibly have left to say?” Freeman asks before Chappelle abruptly stops the car. Evidently annoyed, the comedian looks to the passenger seat where Freeman is and yells out, “Will you shut the f*ck up, Morgan Freeman?”
The Closer rounds out Chappelle’s body of work on Netflix following The Age Of Spin, Deep In The Heart Of Texas, Equanimity, The Bird Revelation and Sticks & Stones, which were released between 2017 and 2019.
