The new tote makes the third bag created between the brands, blending style elements from both Gucci and COMME des GARÇONS. Channeling the previous editions, the new tote features the COMME des GARÇONS tote style with a PVC shell over black paper and Gucci’s signature vertical green and red stripe ribbon. Finishing off the bag is the COMME des GARÇONS logo printed in white.
Gucci recently unveiled its heritage-inspired 100 collection in celebration of the house’s centennial, which illustrates the relationship between clothing, personal identity and music. Highlights of the collection include monogram tailoring and floral pieces that artfully display the campaign’s exhibition of jazz, disco, Japanese punk, afrobeat and hip-hop music.
Gucci will release the limited-edition tote on Friday, October 15, exclusively on vault.gucci.com, the brand’s new online concept store that presents Gucci’s restored and customized archive pieces in addition to new creations with emerging designers.
The new shopper tote will also be available in select COMME des GARÇONS stores, Dover Street Market’s Ginza, New York, London, Los Angeles, Beijing and Singapore locations and on DSM’s website.
