HBO Teases Release and First Look Images for 'The Righteous Gemstones' Season Two
HBO’s comedy series about the ultra-famous televangelist family is set to premiere this winter.
HBO has unveiled the first look images for season two of The Righteous Gemstones.
The hit comedy series, which is created, written and executive produced by Danny McBride, is set to return for a nine-episode second season this winter after two years:
“THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work. Season two finds our blessed Gemstone family threatened by outsiders from both the past and present who wish to destroy their empire.”
Reprising their roles as the Gemstone family are John Goodman as Dr. Eli Gemstone, the patriarch, McBride as Jesse, the oldest son, Adam DeVine as Kelvin, the youngest son, Edi Patterson as Judy, the middle child and only daughter, Cassidy Freeman as Amber, Eli’s wife and Skyler Gisondo as Gideon, Jesse’s estranged oldest son. Tony Cavalero will also return as Keefe Chambers, Tim Baltz as BJ Barnes and Walton Goggins as Billy Freeman, while Jesse Schwartzman, Eric Andre, Jessica Lowe and Eric Roberts will be recurring cast members.
