An Official Look at COMME des GARÇONS' Nike Air Foamposite One Collaboration
Arriving in either black or white.
After an up-close look surfaced recently, COMME des GARÇONS and Nike have now released an official look at their upcoming Air Foamposite One collaboration. The latest project from the Rei Kawakubo-led house and Nike arrives in two colorways, with the Foamposite One finished in either black or white.
While many brands have reworked the silhouette in the past, this release is the first time that its exterior shell has been altered, with a three-dimensional ripple pattern used across the forefoot and midfoot. Both the black and white colorways are finished with contrast detailing, including a small Swoosh towards the forefoot and COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS branding embossed onto the heel.
To launch the collection, COMME des GARÇONS partnered with Brooklyn-based photographer Anthony Geathers to create a campaign that recontextualizes the Air Foamposite One. In the images, Geathers showcased the shoes worn by local basketball star JayWill in scenes from his daily life, including visits to the local barber shop, walking his dog and playing on the local courts.
Both colorways are due to release on November 5 at all COMME des GARÇONS and Dover Street Market stores across the world, with a further release at select stockists to follow.
