Billionaire Boys Club Stays Cozy With Fleece-Heavy FW21 Collection
Featuring graphics from ‘Ghost in the Shell’ artist Ilya Kuvshinov.
Following the ICECREAM Japan’s FW21 lookbook reveal, Billionaire Boys Club Japan showcases its own Fall/Winter 2021 collection lookbook featuring a range of cozy and youthful garments for the colder months ahead.
The capsule is highlighted by black and white T-shirts incorporating astronaut graphics from Russian anime artist Ilya Kuvshinov. Kuvshinov created the character designs for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, and has a considerable following online for his unique illustrations.
Common motifs throughout the pieces are BBC’s classic astronaut logo, the brand slogan “Wealth is of the Heart and Mind Not The Pocket,” and parallel “Heart” and “Mind” text across both shoulders. Featured outwear silhouettes include boa duffle coats, arm pocket hoodies, collared corduroy jackets, and a variety of unconventionally fleece-covered items including varsity jackets, sweaters, and flannels.
