Balansa and Reebok Unite For a Metropolitan Lifestyle Capsule
“LIFE IS SHORT. PLAY MUSIC.”
For its latest collaborative capsule, Reebok enlists Korean vintage/record store and label balansa for a range of urban apparel and footwear.
Highlighted in the collection are reworked Club C 85 and a GL 6000 footwear silhouettes. The classic Club C 85 sneakers feature white uppers with dark blue accents on the lateral balansa hangul text logos, balansa lace tips, co-branded tongue tag, Reebok heel tab, “The Athlete’s Shoe” exposed lateral tag, and inner lining. Below, a textured white rubber sole unit completes the look. The GL 6000 features a similar design language while using English on the lateral logos and ivory as its accent color, most notably found on the Reebok branded midsole and grooved outsole.
Apparel pieces include dark green tracksuits bearing left and right parallel co-branding and a “Sound System Return” DJ graphic on the light nylon jackets. Details include cuffed bottoms, black lateral panels and a vector-shaped zipper. T-shirts come in black and white with a “SOUND SHOP reebok” motif over the left chest and large “LIFE IS SHORT. PLAY MUSIC” text on the back.
