ASICS Combines Grey Tones in New GEL-Lyte III
A plush winter-edition sneaker.
Merging two fan favorites, ASICS presents its latest GEL-Lyte III in Piedmont Grey and a lighter toned Glacier Grey.
The new color-blocked ASICS GEL-Lyte III in Piedmont Grey/Glacier Grey offers a chilling rendition of the classic running sneaker. The soft suede body adopts the Glacier Grey shade and is contrasted with the deeper-toned Piedmont, which is placed on the sneaker’s overlay and laces. A white midsole cuts through the ashy upper and lifts the sneaker into an every-day staple.
First introduced in 1987, the GEL-Lyte silhouette offered athletes bounce and remarkable movement with its GEL technology, and was later adapted by designer Shigeyuki Mitsui into the GEL-Lyte III. Today, the split-tongue sneaker has been the subject of many collaborations including Concepts’ “Otoro” and more recently, the pastel-infused “Nice Cream” by Nice Kicks.
Take a closer look at the sneaker’s details in the gallery above. The ASICS GEL-Lyte III Piedmont Grey/Glacier Grey is available to buy now on Concepts webstore for $120 USD.
