Griselda fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as Westside Gunn revealed that he will not be retiring in 2021.

The rap titan took to social media to post simple and very nonchalant announcements, writing “I’m not retiring” on Instagram stroeis and “Y’all don’t know this GUNN tho, just know GOD IS THE GREATEST and I’m just getting started… btw I’m not retiring either not just yet it’s more work to do” on Twitter. He also followed it up with news about his guest features this year, explaining that he charges $20,000 USD per appearance and will, of course, get to decided if he likes the song enough to do a verse. “I may do 5 this whole year,” he added.

Gunn has been open about his retirement since 2019 but only formally announced it in September 2020 on social media. “Only 3 more months left and I’m still at peace with my decision but this will be a dope 3 months I promise u that #FLYGOD,” he tweeted. Since then, he’s dropped his Shady Records debut Who Made The Sunshine but is still expected to release Hall & Nash 2 with Conway The Machine and his collaborative album with Madlib.

Elsewhere in music, Bobby Shmurda will be eligible for conditional release in February.
