oqLiq x GOOPiMADE "IRREPLACEABLE RUST" Explores Traditional Japanese Culture

Taiwan fashion brands oqLiq and GOOPiMADE have come together for their first collaboration, presenting a series of well-crafted garments, highly inspired by traditional Japanese culture.
Dubbed “IRREPLACEABLE RUST,” the collection sees traditional Japanese clothing and craftsmanship combined into functional outerwear. The collection showcases the two different stylistic approaches via 3D wide pants, hoodies, and a functional parka – all in oversized cuts and billowing silhouettes in black, navy, and wine. The assemblage takes inspiration from the traditional Japanese tea ceremony (also known as chadō) where its purpose is to insulate the purity and harmony of your mind in viewing each imperfection and flaw as something beautiful. One key piece is the monk ark-shaped samue jacket customarily dyed in syrah, the color that is reminiscent of rust.
