The latest Fall/Winter 2021 collection from Drôle de Monsieur pays homage to Maxime Schwab and Dany Do Santos‘ “very French idea of chic and refinement.” The collection envisions a typical French holiday season where the Raclette melted cheese dish offers a sense of comfort during the winter season at a French ski chalet.

The latest wardrobe draws from nostalgic traditional patterns and fabrics of menswear and includes everything from cognac leather and tweed to houndstooth and corduroy. Presented as a winter holiday attire, the collection brings forth cozy and soft fabrics including knits, fleece and sherpa. The oversize silhouettes emphasize the pieces’ focus on comfort, while also promising functionality and sleek finishes for cold, winter days. This season’s color palette is inspired by the natural beauty of the mountain slopes, allowing hints of green to peek through, resembling patches of forest hidden under snow seen on ski paths.

The FW21 collection is a contemporary blend of vintage stylings with undertones of street bourgeois codes. Ski sportswear is further reinterpreted to incorporate a fleece and leather puffer ensemble. The collection continues to pay homage to the Grenoble Winter Games in the 1970s and the Albertville Olympics in the 1990s, combining athletic wear with the fashion house’s idea of French winter elegance.

Drôle de Monsieur’s modern rendition of sportswear brings a sense of youthful energy to the fashion season.

Take a scroll through the brand’s lookbook above. Information regarding its release and prices have yet to be announced. The collection is expected to be available later this year.
