Nike, Virgil Abloh, and TASCHEN have joined hands to produce a new book entitled ICONS that delves into all things related to the ever-famous Nike x Off-White™ sneaker collaborations. This news pops up shortly after Abloh’s streetwear label recently applied to have his “FOR WALKING” notation trademarked.

Given the success of his footwear and apparel collaborations, Virgil Abloh, alongside hit-making recording artist Travis Scott, is undeniably one of Nike/Jordan Brand‘s most impactful partners not only of this generation, but in the history of footwear. The Chicago native will forever be remembered for taking his signature blueprint design language and applying it to classical Swoosh/Jordan silhouettes to form what we now know as “The Ten” collection.

ICONS aims to showcase all of the behind-the-scenes groundwork and DIY inspiration behind this storied and culture-driven collaboration. Within the pages of this new piece, readers will have the opportunity to be enlightened with everything from the documentation of prototypes to original text messages from Abloh to Nike designers to treasures from the Nike archives.

“The ICONS book is, in a way, the only revealing lens to understand that the catalog of the 50-plus Nike shoes I have designed are in my mind “one shoe.” One story.”, Abloh states when speaking about the project.

If you’re interested in purchasing, you can expect ICONS to launch come January 22 via SNKRS in North America, and through Off-White™ and Canary Yellow. A wider release from TASCHEN and global retailers will follow on February 5.

Elsewhere in Abloh’s world, the multi-hyphenate recently linked up with serpentwithfeet to release the ‘Delicate Limbs’ song and music video.
