Lil Wayne Drops New Single "Ain't Got Time"
Released shortly after being pardoned by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Lil Wayne has enlisted Fousheé for his brand new cut “Ain’t Got Time,” released just shortly after being pardoned by former United States President Donald Trump.
Produced by Rio & Kamo, the cut clocks in at exactly three-and-a-half minutes and hears Weezy first pay homage to the late Juice WRLD, then reference the federal weapons charges he pleaded guilty to in December 2020. “They raided my private plane, I went got one that’s more privater,” he raps, touching on the incident in Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport when authorities found weapons and marijuana in his private plane in December 2019. In the chorus he adds, “I don’t get time ’cause I ain’t got time / I was high as f*ck yesterday, damn, time flies / Where am I? / I admit I can’t live when I think too much, too much on my mind.”
Wayne as originally facing up to 10 years in prison when he pleaded guilty to one count of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. Taking to Twitter to thank Trump and his attorney, he wrote, “I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community. I also want to thank @bradfordcohen for working so diligently to secure another chance for me. Love!”
