DJ Muro Delivers Remix of J Dilla's "Think Twice"
As part of the 20th anniversary release of ‘Welcome 2 Detroit.’
DJ Muro has dropped off a remix of J Dilla‘s Welcome 2 Detroit cut, “Think Twice.”
Clocking in at just under four minutes, the “Think Twice” remix hears the revered Japanese DJ add his own gentle twist to the Dilla track, ensuring that the spirit of the esteemed producer is alive all throughout. DJ Muro’s rendition is part of the 20th anniversary release of Welcome 2 Detroit, which will include previously unreleased alternative mixes and studio outtakes that are all pressed over a collection of 12 7” records. A book, written by British author and filmmaker John Vanderpuije, will also serve as an oral history of the album’s making as told by Amp Fiddler, Ma Dukes and the other key musical contributors.
