Ethan Hawke Reportedly Cast as Villain in Marvel and Disney+ Series 'Moon Knight'
Supposedly starring opposite ‘Star Wars’ staple Oscar Isaac.
Ethan Hawke will reportedly star opposite Oscar Isaac in the forthcoming Marvel and Disney+ series, Moon Knight.
It is still unsure who exactly the veteran actor will play, but there’s a possibility it could be Moon Knight’s archnemesis Raoul/Roald Bushman, his former boss and fellow mercenary who betrayed him in exchange for Egyptian gold.
Isaac will play Marc Spector, a former boxer, Marine, CIA operative and mercenary. He was given a second chance at life by the Egyptian mood god Khonshu and was resurrected with superhero abilities, becoming Moon Knight when he returned to the United States. He also created several identities such as the millionaire Steven Grant and cab driver Jack Lockley, and in modern comics, struggles with multiple personality disorder.
Clash director Mohamed Diab and The Endless and Synchronic duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will be directing the series. They are aiming for production to begin this March in Budapest.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Marvel is celebrating 2021 with a year-long rollout of MCU products each week.
