dvsn Covers Kings of Leon's 2008 Eternal Classic "Use Somebody"
Announcing its upcoming ‘Amusing Her Feelings’ album.
After releasing “Blessings” last week, dvsn has now returned with its cover of Kings of Leon’s 2008 eternal classic, “Use Somebody.”
Aside from serving as Kings’ mainstream breakout hit, the track has become somewhat of an everlasting sonic moment thanks to its gentle listening nature. 12 years after its initial release, the song is still played randomly in stores all over the world.
Taking on the icon, dvsn put together their take on the track which leans into the duo’s signature R&B styling. Rhythmic drums and striking chors serve to modernize the themes expressed by the lyrics which also flow into an interpolation of Kings of Leon’s other hit track “Sex on Fire” near the midpoint.
The latest release from the Canadian outfits also serves to announce the official January 15 release date of their upcoming project, Amusing Her Feelings, which is a sequel to last year’s release, A Muse In Her Feelings.
