In an unexpected way to start off 2021, David Guetta has delivered a new remix of his 2011 hit “Memories” Feat. Kid Cudi. The 2021 Remix was initially teased during Guetta’s New Years Eve livestream performance at the Louvre in Paris
The latest release from the French DJ, record producer and songwriter, celebrates how the beloved track has made a resurgence on TikTok with close to a million videos with over 1.6 billion combined views centered around the pertinent lyrics. Throughout the social media platform, content creators have found inventive ways to depict their own interpretation of the lyrics, “I just wanna let it go for the night, that would be the best therapy
for me.”
Revamping one of the best EDM – hip-hop crossovers, David Guetta put a spin on the track while keeping the same overall tone. Aside from a bass-heavy build-up, the remix features a new synth line that adds another bouncy layer to the uplifting sonic mashup.
