Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm released a new Star Wars: Squadrons trailer showcasing the aftermath of the Battle of Endor from the perspective of an Imperial.

The nearly seven-minute cinematic clip above showcases the Imperial dockyard over a jungle planet named Var-Shaa. An Imperial Star Destroyer Overseer can be seen fighting an overwhelming force of New Republic soldiers in space. A starbase similar to the one seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story can also be seen falling from orbit onto the planet in the ensuing battle.

The dogfight between the masked New Republic X-Wing pilot and the TIE squadron leader is meant to make the battle between the two factions feel more personal than seen in the Star Wars films. It also showcases the usual good guys as a bit more grey in their actions.

Star Wars: Squadrons is set to drop on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One on October 2. Not only does the title support VR on PC and PS4, but also flight sticks and throttles.

In other gaming news, IKEA and ASUS ROG are teaming up to creating gaming furniture.
