Save the date.
The day you’ve been waiting for is finally here, a chance to get your hands on the elegantly crafted Fear of God Exclusively for Ermenegildo Zegna collection. The Italian fashion house opens its virtual doors to the public for pre-orders of the collection, allowing fans the opportunity to indulge in the exclusive collaboration before the official launch.
Unveiled back in March, the collection unites the sensibilities of two immensely distinctive brands to create a hybrid offering that delivers the excellence of Ermenegildo Zegna’s sartorial take and the sophisticated contemporary wear of Fear of God. The neutral color palette, clean lines and simple silhouettes also capture the industry’s newfound interest in minimalism and tailoring.
As Zegna’s artist director Alessandro Sartori explains, “the collection speaks to our audience just as it does Jerry Lorenzo’s, but we believe it can also appeal to a new client, thanks to the mix of Zegna’s impeccable tailoring and Fear of God’s concept of laid-back luxury. We have worked with great balance, without our ego’s ever surpassing one another, to create a unique new wardrobe. A perfect synthesis of our two souls: clothes to wear at any time of the day in order to feel good. And this is only the beginning, as our conversation has just begun.”
The collection offers 39 versatile looks, from striped, boxy melange grey suits made from the finest natural wools and super-lightweight suede shirts to black leather bombers and Western-style boots. Incorporating elements of comfortable dressing with a minimal range of joggers and hoodies that infiltrate the traditional codes of tailoring, reinventing forms and structures in a continuous cross-reference between Milan and Los Angeles.
We recently caught with Jerry Lorenzo and Alessandro Sartori in conversation about the inner-workings of the collaboration, find out more about the intricacies behind the collection here.
