The womenswear sub-label has prepared a thematic presentation of its Spring/Summer 2021 items, which include a selection of progressive genderfluid goods and accessories.
House signatures are made accessible by way of the boxy graphic hoodies and T-shirts, seen in a lookbook shot in media res as staff and models set up for the shoot. Margiela’s iconic typewriter product descriptions and upcycling techniques inform various garments — the latter sees a Parisian cafe chair cover transformed into a cotton dress — while a selection of menswear items are styled alongside lingerie, undercutting each garments’ baked-in tropes.
