Mac DeMarco Drops New Track "Waiting" for Benefit Album 'EVER NEW'
All proceeds will go to Canada-based Black, Indigenous and LBGTQ2S charities.

Mac DeMarco has shared a new song entitled “Waiting” as part of the Canadian benefit album, EVER NEW.
The compilation project, curated by Max Mertens and Sarah Mackenzie, hears other Canadian artists such as Ryan Hemsworth and Dirty Beaches contribute both original cuts and covers. The album is named after Beverly Glenn-Copeland’s 1986 song of the same title — reinterpreted by Joseph Shabason and Thom Gill of the Head to create the opening track — and 100 percent of its proceeds will go to Canada-based Black, Indigenous and LBGTQ2S charities Black Health Alliance, Indspire and The 519.
EVER NEW is available for purchase and streaming on Bandcamp for $17 CAD (approximately $13 USD).
Elsewhere in music, Big Sean, SZA and Drake lead this week’s Best New Tracks.
