Detailed Look at the LEGO x adidas ZX 8000
Bricks not included.

As adidas Originals continues to build out its expansive A-ZX collection, one of the major pieces it’s presented is LEGO‘s colorful take on the ZX 8000. Although the beloved Danish toy company may not be the first collaborative partner that comes to mind when die-hard adidas fans think of the A-ZX line, it’s a chance for both brands to break new ground: adidas Head of Global Energy Marketing Till Jagla told HYPEBEAST that the brand aims to “explore new territories, to speak to someone who doesn’t know A-ZX yet” in an exclusive interview.
When you think of LEGO, you likely think of bright colors — and this ZX 8000 is no different. Atop a crisp white mesh and tan suede base with familiar Three Stripe graphics sits a plethora of colorful accents, the most notable of which are a blue heel counter and a quintet of interchangeable lace deubres. Both of these pieces are textured as well, boasting the circular snaps that hold multiple LEGO bricks together. There’s also pops of bright red on the eyestays and blue on the toebox, with all the upper accents brought together by five different lace options and a large LEGO hit on the red fabric tongue tag.
Down below, the midsole does its best to further the brick-inspired style. Awash in bright yellow, it adds touches of green towards the forefoot and on the heel. Outsoles are presented in red with a signature Torsion bar done up in blue to complete the visible part of the look. A hidden finishing detail is served by co-branded insoles. The LEGO sculpture seen next to the shoes in the photos above was constructed of 80,000 bricks over the course of 40 hours, and will be exhibited at Germany’s Overkill and 43einhalb.
The LEGO x adidas ZX 8000 is set to release on the adidas webstore and vial retailers like Overkill and 43einhalb come September 25. The MSRP is set at $130 USD. Additionally, GOAT also has more pairs in stock right now.
