'No Time to Die' Featurette Introduces Rami Malek's Villainous Character
Hailed as “007’s most terrifying adversary yet.”
We’re still two months away from the release of the highly-anticipated James Bond installment No Time to Die, but the franchise hasn’t slowed down on creating hype for the upcoming action espionage film, now releasing a featurette introducing fans to Rami Malek’s new villainous character, Safin.
Hailed as “007’s most terrifying adversary yet,” the mask-wearing Safin is described as a “mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.” Malek himself explains that the character is deeply unsettling, and — much like many other of the evilest men in history — thinks of himself as a hero. “What he wants and what he’s willing to do makes him a very frightening character, both personally to Bond but also on a global level,” explains the film’s director Cary Joji Fukunaga.
“I’m the man willing to kill the person you love most,” Safin says eerily to Léa Seydoux’s character, Madeleine Swann, in the new featurette. He continues to Bond: “We both eradicate people to make the world a better place. I just want to be a little tidier.”
No Time to Die hits theaters November 12.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Netflix has released the first trailer for Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7.
