Air Jordan 1 Mid "Quilted" Pulls Inspiration From Luxury Handbags
The cut may be mid, but the quality is undoubtedly high.

Jordan Brand‘s Air Jordan 1 Mid has been prepared in a new “Quilted” style that seemingly pulls its inspiration from luxury handbags. As the release of the Dior x Air Jordan 1 earlier this year proved, the world of couture fashion has long had eyes for Michael Jordan‘s first signature silhouette. Now, thanks to this in-line release, the general public has an opportunity to get its hands on an Air Jordan 1 that may be mid in cut but is undeniably high in style.
Dressed entirely in white, these Air Jordan 1s combine quilted nylon quarters, toeboxes and collars with leather mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, heel pieces and collar flaps — making for a look that calls to mind images of Don C‘s Just Don x Air Jordan 2 with its build if not its materials. The smooth nature of these leather overlays provides a compelling contrast with the textured nature of the base layer, and further pops of detail are served up by a debossed ball-and-wings on the collar flap, a Jumpman on the tongue and a straightforward white midsole/outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Quilted” is set to release via Nike SNKRS China on November 30, and is priced at $125 USD. It’s a women’s style, but will be available in an extended size run.
