Garmin Creates Three Evangelion-Themed Instinct GPS Smartwatches
Limited to 200 pieces.
Garmin has just teamed up with Evangelion for three distinct EVA-themed GPS smartwatches. Colored after the EVA Unit-01, Unit-02, and NERV HQ, each Instinct watch is tested within MIL-STD-810G’s Method 500.6 (Procedure I and II) to ensure that that the watch is operational at altitudes as high as 12,000 feet and can be stored at 40,000 feet.
The Instinct is also extremely durable, passing Procedure IV of Method 516.7 (Pendulum Impact) which involves being dropped from a height of 122cm. The watch can also survive extreme cold and hot weather conditions and sudden temperature shifts. Its 45mm reinforced fiber polymer case also prevents corrosion from happening.
For those that are into fitness and the outdoors, the Instinct EVA also makes use of Garmin’s heart rate sensors, 3-axis electronic compass, altimeter, sports app, and GPS, GLONASS and Galileo satellite positioning systems, making sure you find your way back from a long hike or run in the wilderness.
Set to drop on September 11, each colorway is limited to 200 pieces and will sell for approximately $410 USD. Head over to Garmin to learn more.
