H. Moser & Cie Furthers Streamliner Line With Stunning Matrix Green Fumé Dial

Independent watchmaker H. Moser & Cie has just announced a new model for its Streamliner series of sporty watches.
The series takes a turn away from H. Moser & Cie‘s customary precious metal cases and opts for a stainless steel case and integrated bracelet inspired by high-speed trains from the ’20s. H. Moser & Cie has got the recipe right for the choice of its integrated bracelet. Like so many flagships before this 6200-1200 Streamliner, a great deal of care and attention is something that should go into a watches’ bracelet, especially at the $20K USD price range. Sans-lugs, this bracelet moves more like armor or scales as it seamlessly joins the extended round edges of the case with its fluid lines. While unquestionably solid, the lack of gaps combined with its vertical brushed finish and polished surfaces gives off a highly-flexible appearance.
Moving on to the meat of the wristwatch, the watch is a much simpler version of its limited Flyback Chronograph Automatic counterpart, employing only the essentials: hours, minutes, and seconds. This is very much on par with Moser’s dress watches in terms of elegance — it’s hard to not get lost in the captivating Matrix Green fumé dial. This 40mm cushion case also tells us a few clues as to where H. Moser is headed in the future; they will continue to maintain a display caseback even with increased water-resistance (120m), as it would be a waste to not show-off all that in-house craftsmanship; and secondly, there will be an emphasis on automatic movements. While the Endeavor has long had a cult following based on its impeccable hand-wound movement like the HMC 321, the HMC self-winding calibres have been making their way from concepts to mainline — you’ve asked and H. Adding to this fine three-hand watch are its curved Globolight lumed hands, solid 18k gold oscillating weight, and an in-house HMC 200 (tuned by H. Moser & Cie.’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG) movement that offers three whole days of power reserve. Those interested can expect the Streamliner Centre Seconds to retail for $169,000 HKD (approximately $21,900 USD), and in limited quantity.
