UPDATE (May 19, 2020): The Fear of God Essentials x Converse Chuck 70 will re-release at the Converse webstore and retailers like Sneakersnstuff on May 21.

ORIGINAL STORY (March 24, 2020): As the release of the Fear of God Essentials x Converse Chuck 70 edges closer, HYPEBEAST has got its hands on both pairs to offer a closer look.

These anticipated pairs are served up in muted colorways such as “Black” and “Grey” with another pair in “Natural Greige” also expected to drop. FOG Essentials has treated the Chucks to a minimalistic makeover, adding unique finishing touches all around that set this pair apart from the rest.

Jerry Lorenzo‘s label adds a leather tongue — contrasting the traditional canvas uppers — and sets both pairs off with a crisp white sole unit that sports black running stripes. Furthermore, you’ll find a Fear of God Essentials license plate on the rear of one foot, joined by the original Converse branding on the other, and a set of extra-long cream laces that wrap around the shoe through an additional rear eyelet.

The Fear of God Essentials x Converse Chuck 70 in both its “Black/Egret” and “Ivory/Black” colorways will release on March 26 at select retailers, such as HBX and Dover Street Market’s E-Shop. Retail is set for $110 USD per pair.
