DC FanDome Drops Trailers for 'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League' and 'Gotham Knights'
Plenty of superhero and villain action to go around.
Over the weekend, DC Comics hosted its 24-hour virtual event DC FanDome to make up for the lack of San Diego Comic-Con this year, and on top of a bunch of movie trailer releases, the company also gave gamers a closer look at some of its upcoming titles, including Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights.
Developed by Rocksteady Studios— the studio behind the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series — Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a new action-adventure shooter bringing together Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang. The plot is a continuation of the Arkham universe and follows a new threat in the city: a corrupt Justice League. The game also features multiplayer mechanics, allowing for up to groups of four, where each player controls one of the characters from Task Force X.
Another game DC FanDome unveiled is Gotham Knights, a new open-world title based in the Batman universe — but without the caped crusader himself. Left with no Batman to defend it, Gotham now relies on his four proteges: Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood. Developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, the game will also be another multiplayer experience, where a team of four will work together as the masked superheroes with Alfred from a decked-out Bat Cave to fight of the villains and criminal enterprises of Gotham City.
For those interested, Gotham Knights will arrive some time in 2021, while Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will launch in 2022.
Elsewhere in gaming, Fall Guys is now set for a mobile release.
