Rapper Dave Joins Sir David Attenborough For Musical Wildlife Special
A programme “designed to lift viewers’ spirits during a time of international uncertainty”.

Sir David Attenborough has teamed up with 2019 Mercury Prize winner Dave for a new BBC musical wildlife programme entitled Planet Earth: A Celebration.
Described by the BBC as “designed to lift viewers’ spirits during a time of international uncertainty”, the new show will feature clips from Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II, as well as work from the film composer Hans Zimmer.
A new voiceover has been recorded by Attenborough, while Zimmer, BBC Concert Orchestra and Dave on the grand piano will provide the accompanying music.
“I’ve always been a fan of powerful natural history documentaries,” Dave told the BBC. “This is a programme where nature and music come together, so it was only right that I lent my talent, my time, and my attention to this project. It was a pleasure to work alongside Sir David Attenborough and Hans Zimmer.”
This project is set to air on BBC One towards the end of August.
In other news, Stormzy, Kano and Dua Lipa are amongst those nominated for this year’s Mercury Prize.
