Converse Prepares Fiery "Wholehearted" Collection
New takes on the All Star BB Evo and G4, nodding to the inner fire that drives basketball’s fiercest competitors.
Converse‘s revitalized basketball line has expanded greatly over the course of 2020, and its latest offering is a fiery new “Wholehearted” collection. Consisting of simmering takes on the All Star BB Evo and G4, the “Wholehearted” offerings provide a visceral nod to the inner fire and passion that drives basketball’s fiercest competitors.
A low-top, updated iteration of 2019’s All Star Pro BB, the All-Star BB Evo is a tale of two sides. Lateral halves are dressed entirely in a high-heat crimson with embroidered white and gold details on the Chevron, while medial sides dial things down by equipping simple white mesh with small touches of yellow and red around the heel. Drop-in React midsoles offer responsive comfort.
On the other end, the high-cut G4 offers a silhouette that’s essentially a modernized take on the classic Converse Weapon. Whites and tans provide base tones, while Chevrons alternate between black on the lateral half and yellow on the medial half. More black and red details arrive via heels and midsoles, and cushioning is handed by a mix of Zoom Air and React foam.
The Converse “Wholehearted” collection is set to arrive on the Converse webstore come September 3. The All Star BB Evo is priced at $115 USD and a retail price for the G4 has yet to be announced.
