DISTINCT LIFE and PUMA Reunite for California "Inspire 124C"
With a portion of the proceeds going towards Yunion/The Cave Of Adullam, a Detroit-based mentorship program.

Rick Williams‘s DISTINCT LIFE and PUMA have come together once again to create a new take on the classic California. Dubbed the “Inspire 124C,” the bold style blends old-school sport luxury with a meaningful ethos, making for a shoe that’s substantive in more ways than one.
Uppers are built of suede, leather and mesh, all of which is dressed in DISTINCT LIFE’s signature yellow — 124C in the Pantone color system. A signature detail is provided by a bold “Inspire” graphic stitched on to the medial quarter. DISTINCT LIFE’s “1/10” — short for “The Talented Tenth” — logo appears next to a text hit on the lateral quarter’s small suede tab. Down below, yellow EVA foam midsoles offer a sharp shape and gum outsoles round off the style.
As is the case with many of DISTINCT LIFE’s other projects, a charitable aspect is at play as well. 10% of all proceeds from the shoe’s sales will go to Yunion/The Cave Of Adullam, a Detroit-based mentorship program that helps teenagers grow through the martial arts.
“As an agency, we enjoy our design and product work with our partners but our aim is to create meaningful dialog and opportunity” says Rick Williams. “We want to do our part in the collective movement of moving our communities and youth forward, and the Yunion is an excellent representation of that.”
The DISTINCT LIFE x PUMA California “Inspire 124C” is available now via the DISTINCT LIFE webstore, and retails for $110 USD.
