adidas YEEZY SLIDE "Core" and "Soot" Are Finally Dropping
Stay cozy at home, but make it Kanye.
In May we got an unofficial look at the adidas YEEZY SLIDE in “Core” and “Soot,” and now the pairs have formally been revealed in their official colorways.
The Kanye West-designed, adidas-made slide is typical of ‘Ye’s ultra-minimal aesthetic, offering very little branding while letting the styling of the silhouette speak for itself. The pair is made from injected EVA foam which makes the slides incredibly lightweight yet durable, and are finished in a smooth matte look.
Inside the adidas YEEZY SLIDE you’ll find a soft footbed, while the sole acts as the silhouettes core talking point. Strategically placed grooves provide optimum traction and support, and give off a dog-toothed, wavy look that’s different to anything West has ever created before.
A small swooping indent has been added at the rear and acts as the only piece of exterior detail. A small adidas three stripe logo has been engraved into the footbed, rounding out the stark pair.
The adidas YEEZY SLIDE in “Core” and “Soot” will cost just £45 GBP (approx. $60 USD), and is due to drop at retailers worldwide, including Hanon, on September 3. Take a closer look at both above.
