Sevdaliza Reclaims Her Power With Sophomore Effort 'Shabrang'

Sevdaliza has officially released her ISON followup, Shabrang.

Clocking in at just over an hour, the 15-track record is released under her own label Twisted Elegance and is produced entirely by the Iranian-dutch artist and her long-time collaborator, Mucky. Shabrang hears Sevdaliza push the boundaries of sonic structures to create a style completely unique to her, utilizing elements of alternative electronic, indie, trip-hop, alternative R&B and avant-garde. Reclaiming her power after years of physical and emotional turbulence, she narrates her journey of self-discovery, self-love and finding peace amidst the chaos in the world — acting as a catalyst for empowerment and healing through the collective consciousness.

“This album represents to me that the essence of it all to me is love,” Sevdaliza said in a statement. “It is a deep letter to myself, my own bible I have to write in order to trust and believe in life. Trust in myself and my character as a human being.”
