UNIFORME Wants You to "Be Prepared" in Scouts-Inspired SS21 Garments

Sustainable Parisian label UNIFORME has presented its Spring/Summer 2021 collection, “Be Prepared.” Commenting on the unprecedented circumstances the world has faced in recent times, UNIFORME calls for change by asking us to see the collection as a way to pause and reflect.

For SS21, UNIFORME drew inspiration from scouts. This youthful but regimented aesthetic has been reinterpreted by designers Hugues Fauchard and Rémi Bats, who have developed a collection that celebrates the “scout’s companionship, solidarity, and respect for nature,” which is something UNIFORME think is called for even more so today.

As a result of the climate’s circumstances and it’s collection’s stance, the SS21 delivery is entirely made from deadstock fabrics, repurposed garments, and in true UNIFORME ways, a selection of high-quality materials that incorporate natural and renewable fibers.

Standouts from “Be Prepared” include a gray long sleeve shirt that’s finished with a “UNIFORME” fringed badge, the green-and-blue striped sweater vest, the variety of shorts on offer, and lastly, an elongated gray coat complete with white topstitching, two-way zippers, and cream detailing.

In honor of its SS21 collection, UNIFORME has also produced an editorial video titled “Not all those who wander are lost.” Debuted on Paris Fashion Week‘s online event, the short film hears the designers openly speak about their childhood and introduce the SS21 collection.
