sacai Launches MA-1 Jacket in Collaboration With UNDERCOVER
Arriving in black, navy and khaki.
Utilitarian to its core, the MA-1 jacket has become a staple of sacai under the guidance of designer Chitose Abe. Since its rise to popularity in the 1970s across various subcultures, the jacket still remains true to the original military design of the 1950s.
For Fall/Winter 2020, sacai has teamed up with fellow Japanese label UNDERCOVER for a collaborative rework of the classic garment. Featuring the classic ribbed trims, nylon frame and soft cotton lining, the MA-1 is both durable and comfortable.
Each jacket features co-branded logos on the left breast, with a large graphic on the reverse. Arriving in black, navy and khaki colorways, this collaborative classic comes with styles for both men and women.
Retailing at ¥76,000 for women (approximately $700 USD) ¥98,000 yen for men (approximately $910 USD), the sacai x UNDERCOVER MA-1 jackets will be available to order from the “sacai THE store” on July 21.
