Vans Is Celebrating the Class of 2020 With a Virtual Grad Night
With Steve Van Doren, Tony Hawk, King Princess, Ray Barbee, Sami Miro, SG Lewis and more.
While this year’s graduating class hasn’t experienced typical send-off celebrations, there is a silver lining to the current circumstances. Graduates are being treated to commencement speeches and digital events thrown by influential names and brands, like Vans, which is hosting a grad night this week. The event, taking place tonight, is serving up a stacked lineup of speakers and performers who will help in honoring the next generation of changemakers.
True to the Vans’ ethos, the evening of programming will inspire self-expression and creativity among the youth with a keynote speech from Steve Van Doren, who will encourage students to pursue their passions, share helpful tips towards success and reinforce what it means to live “Off The Wall.” Vans Grad Night will tap into the influential connection between action sports, art, music and street culture with inspirational messages from legendary skateboarders Tony Hawk and Ray Barbee. Entrepreneur and model Sami Miro will also inject her personal wisdom with a speech. To close out the celebration, King Princess will perform live, followed by a DJ set by SG Lewis.
Vans Virtual Grad Night will take place tonight, Friday, June 26 at 6 p.m. PDT on Vans’ YouTube and Facebook pages as well as Vans.com and the Vans Family app.
