adidas Torsion Comp Appears in "Crystal White"
Offering crisp ’90s tennis style and signature Torsion tech.

adidas Originals has served up the Torsion Comp in a summer-ready “Crystal White” colorway. First made famous by the on-court heroics of tennis great Stefan Edberg in the early ’90s, the Torsion Comp was once one of adidas‘s most technologically advanced tennis silhouettes. Now, almost 30 years later, its durable build and appealing shape have enabled it to live a second life as a street-ready piece of casual footwear.
This sporty yet laid-back mentality is on full display with the “Crystal White” colorway, which uses a tennis-appropriate premium white leather base and plenty of bright accents. Purple, blue, pink and yellow are all present, but none speaks louder than any of the others and each is dispersed evenly across the top half’s many seams. This artful assemblage of accents is made possible by the Torsion Comp’s layered look, with reinforced, textured plastic pieces and special cut-out Three Stripe branding.
Perforations and tonal stitching abound to add further texture, and a heathered black/white pattern graces the tongue. Bright yellow Torsion lace deubres provide a finishing touch of vibrance, while white EVA and rubber midsoles equip a Torsion bar under the midfoot for still-substantive support.
The adidas Torsion Comp will release at retailers like Sneaker District in the coming weeks, and is priced at $120 USD.
