House of Pharaohs Are in Quarantine for "AM to PM" Visual
The latest track from the UK six-piece.
House of Pharaohs is the latest rap act in the UK taking the country by storm. The six-piece group, consisting of Sam Wise, Blaze, Bandanna, Kevin Taylor, AJ, and Danny, have continued to usher in a new hip-hop sound for the country, prompting a unique expansion of London’s bounteous urban music landscape. After dropping off their Season II project last year, the group has now delivered its latest single, “AM to PM,” alongside a quarantined visual that relay’s the troubles of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Over a hard-slinging trap instrumental — which merely incorporates a gritty 808 bassline alongside snares, claps, and eerie piano chords — the six rappers layout a slew of hard-nosed bars, relishing in their diverse flows and deliveries. The video, filmed almost entirely via Zoom, showcases the members vining out in their homes, self-isolating. This is intercut with brief clips of Kevin Taylor vining out in his neighborhoods playground, with other clips of Blaze vining out in his home’s backyard. Sam Wise and Bandanna can also be seen wearing masks, dancing about in their abode.
