Fender Releases "Asuka" Telecaster for 'Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time'

Fender continues its partnership with the Evangelion anime franchise with its 2020 “Asuka” Telecaster. This time around, a special guitar will be released to commemorate the now-delayed Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time film.
The telecaster comes in the orange, red and green hues associated with Asuka Langley Soryu’s plug suit and EVA 2. The guitar features a NERV plaque at the neck plate, a matte-black neck with matching hardware, an EVA 2 12th-fret inlay, and aluminum pickups. The guitar also comes with an Evangelion-themed ABS molded case, sticker, and certificate.
Those interested can head over to Fender Japan for a chance to purchase one for ¥250,000 JPY (approximately $2,345 USD).
