Russia Will Not Sell 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered'
Since the game is a timed PS4 exclusive, Russian players will have to wait to play on other platforms.

PlayStation announced it will not release Activision‘s latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered in Russia. The announcement was made in a statement from Activision Russia’s official Call of Duty Twitter account.
“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a completely fictional 2009 campaign, recreated in HD quality,” Activision’s Russian statement reads. “SIE decided not to sell the game in the Russian PS Store. We look forward to the release of the game in digital form for the PC on Battle.net and on Xbox consoles.”
Since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a timed exclusive for PlayStation 4, no Russian players will be able to touch the title until it arrives on PC and Xbox consoles next month on digital.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered – полностью вымышленная кампания 2009 года, воссозданная в HD качестве. SIE решили не продавать игру в российском PS Store. Мы с нетерпением ждем выхода игры в цифровом варианте для ПК в https://t.co/44Pv8h7lHL и на консолях Xbox

According to Eurogamer, the inclusion of the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 mission “No Russian” may be the cause of the sales halt. This section of the game, if unmodified from the original release, “sees you taking part in a terrorist massacre at an airport, machine-gunning down hundreds of civilians,” the publication summarizes.
The original Modern Warfare 2 was removed from sale in Russia before re-releasing with the exclusion of the “No Russian” mission. Many speculate the same will happen with the remastered version when it finally arrives next month on PC and XBox.
