Alicia Keys Pays Tribute to COVID-19 First Responders With "Good Job"
The new song was premiered in an exclusive performance on CNN.
Alicia Keys returns with a new single titled “Good Job” in honor of all of the heroes and first responders during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter also took to CNN for a moving tribute paired with the surreal images of empty cities and candid snapshots of essential workers.
“Good Job” was originally written back in 2019 alongside husband and collaborator Swizz Beats, The Dream and Avery Chambliss. The original subject matter dealt with the unsung heroes who have impacted and influenced Alicia’s life from an early age, but was reworked with the new inspiration of those risking their own health to benefit others.
“Whether you’re on the frontlines at the hospitals, balancing work, family and homeschool teaching, delivering mail, packages, or food, or facing other personal difficulties because of COVID-19, I feel you,” Alicia keys stated in an official press release. “You are seen, loved and deeply appreciated.”
