Last year, Japanese label JAM HOME MADE collaborated with Medicom Toy on a set of BE@RBRICK-themed goods. The accessories brand has returned once again with another collaboration, but this time, tapping Disney instead. Featured is a concise capsule that incorporates Mickey Mouse motifs on two necklaces, a ring and a wallet — dubbed “Disney Archive Parade.”
First up is a necklace that features Mickey in a sitting pose, inspired by a motif drawn on the back of a hardcore punk jacket from the ’80s. Resting its head over crossed arms, Mickey’s face is covered, putting emphasis on the clean lines of the pendant’s body. Offsetting the glossy black paint of the character’s body are white gloves, red shorts and bright yellow shoes, staying true to the classic design of the character — the other necklace imagine’s Mickey’s four-fingered glove.
Next up is a set of college rings that’s been encrusted with dark stones. “MICKEY MOUSE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” is engraved around the center gem, framed by a thin outline of rope motifs. Etched from the shoulders to the base of the shank is an image of Mickey standing in front of the American flag. Furthermore, the ring sees a smooth concave surface, bringing out the intricate details of the accessory. Rounding up the capsule is a long rectangular wallet. It comes in sleek black leather, debossed with Mickey motifs and a metal loop in one corner as a finishing touch.
