BILLY's & PUMA Unveil LQD CELL OMEGA With Sleek "Iridescent" Highlights
Revitalizing the original ’90s silhouette.
Back in August, Tokyo-based retailer BILLY’s and PUMA joined forces on a metallic spin on PUMA’s CELL Venom. The two entities have reunited once again, this time taking on the LQD CELL OMEGA, revitalizing the retro ’90s silhouette with vivid “Iridescent” highlights — offered in black and white colorways.
Starting at the top of the shoe is a contrasting “PUMA” logo, placed atop a dotted hexagonal motif at the tongue, a nod to PUMA’s honeycomb-shaped cushioning technology. Below is a set of round rope laces, covering the mesh forefoot and spilling over the sidewalls beyond smooth full-grain leather overlays. Stretching from the rear quarter to the toecap, darkly tinted iridescent applications appear under the crisp upper sections of the body, reflecting gradients of azure blue and deep purple. All of these details sit atop a crisp white midsole that’s been equipped with PUMA’s signature CELL cushioning technology, finished off by an icy, semi-translucent outsole.
