THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL Drops '70s-Inspired Duffle & Daypack
Made with a special PARA cloth.
Last month, THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL and adidas joined with BEAMS on an exclusive SS20 capsule packed with a set of sartorial jackets as well as footwear. The former label is back with two heritage bag silhuoettes for the new season — featured is the 3Way Duffle Bag and Medium Day Pack in three bold colorways of white, purple and black.
Both silhouettes borrow designs from early archival pieces from the ’70s, tweaked slightly and updated with a special PARA fabric while maintaining a distinctive retro aesthetic. The duffle bag has been constructed with a three-way specification which allows the user to wear the bag over his/her shoulders as a backpack, a shoulder bag or simply as a duffle by carrying it by its leather handlebars. A purple “The North Face” patch logo is placed at the center of the body, between wide straps that come with reinforced rivets. As a final touch silver-toned hardware appears at each end of the main zipper compartment as well as the thin hoop that holds the shoulder strap near the top of the bag. The Daypack sees delicate leather panels at the upper front region, mid-body, around the zippers and at the bottom, covering the entire base. Apart from the main compartment, the bag comes with hidden zippers near the lower half, opening up horizontally for ample storage. Completing the design, the backpack comes with padded shoulder straps and fortified handlebars for extra utility.
THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL 3Way Duffle Bag and Daypack are currently available at nanamica’s website for $180 and $150, respectively.
